Initial Thoughts:
When I first heard of the Alec & Bradley Blind Faith, I was led to believe this was an amazing, ultra-rare cigar that I just had to try. So, when I found one in my possession, I was excited to see if it was worth the hype.
This cigar is a collaboration between Alec and Bradley, the two sons of Alec Bradley founder, Alan Rubin. Though it still is an Alec Bradley (the brand) cigar, technically, this stick comes from a unique line just line any line from any other manufacturer.
After punching the cigar, the draw was very tight. So, I punched it again, and that didn’t help much. The Alec Bradley Blind Faith is supposed to be a great cigar, so let’s find out!
CigarScore: 2
Brand: Alec Bradley
Line: Alec and Bradley, Blind Faith
Size: 5 x 52
Cut: Punch / Guillotine
Light: Torch
Wrapper: Honduran Habano
Binder: Nicaragua, Honduras
Filler: Nicaragua
After just a few minutes with the cigar, the draw was so tight, I had to use my guillotine to open it up. It didn’t; even after two punches and two cuts with the guillotine, the draw was still tight.
Additionally, several cracks started to show up in the middle of the cigar. At one point, the only thing holding the cigar together was the label. However, the flavors were decent and of leather.
Final Thoughts:
My particular stick of the Alec & Bradley Blind Faith Robusto was plagued by problems. Uneven burn. A tight draw. And it wouldn’t stay lit. And the wrapper cracked several times. This cigar’s problems just keep adding up, and the sum is a pretty poor experience.
Although I didn’t like this particular stick, I think I would like to try another one and give it a second chance. However, this rolling of the Alec & Bradley Blind Faith Robusto earns a CigarScore 2.
