    Initial Thoughts
Robert Caldwell claims that The Last Tsar is such a bold, nicotine-fueled cigar that you need a full stomach and something to put your feet on before you smoke it. Well, I have neither of those things, but let’s dive in anyway.

The Caldwell The Last Tsar Corona Gorda was a good-looking cigar. The medium-brown wrapper leaf was somewhat oily to the touch, and the cigar appeared very well made. The Last Tsar was also decorated with a pigtail tip.

On the cold draw, there was not much resistance at all. My hope was that the squishy spot under the labels didn’t have a negative impact on the smoke.

Once lit, the Caldwell The Last Tsar Corona Gorda delivered a rich and earthy aroma that was quite nice.

Is the Caldwell The Last Tsar Corona Gorda worth $13.80? And, is it as strong as they claim? Let’s find out.

    Final Thoughts
After smoking the Caldwell The Last Tsar Corona Gorda for 68 minutes, it was time to put the nicotine bomb down.

The way I’d describe this cigar would be a one-dimensional strength stick. Beyond the powerful flavors of strong, high-nicotine leaves, I tasted little else.

For the most part, this cigar had great construction. The draw was great, the burn was nearly perfectly even, and the flavors were… decent. However, it was a little expensive.

But, despite my complaints and it not being for me, overall the Caldwell The Last Tsar Corona Gorda was good and earns a CigarScore 4.
