Initial Thoughts:
I’ve seen a lot of talk about and praise for Steve Saka lately, so I thought I’d give one of his cigars a try. So, I picked up the Sobremesa El Americano. Without knowing much about the cigar or Saka himself, I dove in.
I immediately noticed that the construction of the El Americano was perfectly constructed. The wrapper was just slightly oily, the veins were pressed, and the cigar was a perfect tube. In a world full of handmade cigars, the Sobremesa El Americano is worth noticing.

Final Thoughts:
At about the halfway point, I noticed that the Sobremesa El Americano still held its perfect shape. The wrapper never bulged or cracked, and the burn was almost perfect. The flavors of this cigar are like wheatgrass, and the El Americano isn’t quite as bold as it first appeared.
Overall, I didn’t love the flavors of this cigar. While the Sobremesa El Americano is extremely well made, the burn is very even and the draw is so perfect it’s a thing of beauty, I didn’t find myself loving how it tasted.
In regards to a review, I’m torn between a perfect work of art and a flavor I don’t love. But since this is my review, I give the Sobremesa El Americano a CigarScore 3.
