The La Galera 1936 Box Pressed is a cigar Jochy Blanco envisioned many years ago. After identifying and securing the desired grades and types of tobacco, he has given them the time they’ve demanded to reveal their full potential. The 1936 BP is a medium+ bodied cigar with a Dominican Corojo wrapper.

Initial Thoughts:
This is only my 2nd La Galera cigar ever. I think my first was last year in Cincinnati, and I remember thinking it was pretty good.
The La Galera 1936 Box Pressed had a semi-dry wrapper with a milk chocolate color. The first few puffs had an easy draw – so easy that I think this cigar might be under-filled. However, the cigar feels firm, so I don’t know. After smoking 1/2 inch, the ash fell off – more evidence of a cigar that’s under-filled.
CigarScore: 2

Final Thoughts:
Overall, I found the La Galera 1936 Box Pressed underwhelming. The flavors were leafy and I felt like the cigar was dry. Each puff provided plenty of smoke, which is good, but the cigar wasn’t really memorable.
Because the La Galera 1936 Box Pressed was unimpressive, I give it a CigarScore 2.
