    Initial Thoughts
Around here, we love our limited edition cigars, and the La Gloria Cubana 8th Street Corona Grande is just that. Made to celebrate the storied history of cigar making on Miami’s 8th Street, a.k.a. “Calle do Ocho,” the LGC 8th Street was made at the El Titan de Bronze factory, right across the street from where it all began.

From the first glance, I expected the La Gloria Cubana 8th Street (2023) Corona Grande to be special. Very rarely have I seen a wrapper leaf that’s so smooth with veins so well pressed. After all, perfection is what you should expect from a cigar that costs almost $26.

On the cold draw, the resistance was perfect but there were no distinctive flavors. If there were, I might’ve tasted some leather and sawdust. Once lit, the La Gloria Cubana 8th Street was doughy with hints of spice, and, for some reason, reminded me of a Room 101 cigar blended by Matt Booth.

Will this cigar we be worth it? Should you spend almost $26 on the La Gloria Cubana 8th Street (2023) Corona Grande? Let’s smoke it and find out.

    Final Thoughts
The La Gloria Cubana 8th Street (2023) Corona Grande is a very enjoyable cigar with some wonderful complexity.

During the first third of the cigar, the flavors were leathery, spicy, and maybe a little doughy. In the middle third, something creamy, oily and rich popped up to delight the palate. In the final third, the spice level was ramped up, but it didn’t overwhelm.

I really enjoyed the flavors, complexity and near visual-perfection of this cigar. It’s expensive, but delicious. The La Gloria Cubana 8th Street (2023) Corona Grande earns a CigarScore 5.
