The Monte by Montecristo's signature feature is the inclusion of two binders: a spicy Dominican Olor combined with a strong and aromatic Nicaraguan Corojo which adds strength, firmness, and complexity. The Monte is one of the boldest cigars from Montecristo, which makes it a “revolutionary twist on a revered classic.” The two binders are paired with aged Dominican fillers and an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper to create an unforgettable experience.

Visually, the Montecristo Monte looked fantastic and held up to the Montecristo legacy. The veins on the wrapper were thin and the cigar looked almost seamless. The foot of the cigar had a nice, clean-cut and the filler tobaccos were all medium brown in color. As I said, the Montecristo Monte is a great-looking cigar.
The cold draw had had the perfect amount of resistance and had flavors there were of musty wood.
CigarScore: 4

Light: Torch
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano
Binder: Nicaragua, Dominican Republic

Final Thoughts: After getting out of the wind, after a few burn issues, and, after about 70 minutes with this cigar, the Montecristo Monte by Montecristo is not what I thought it would be. The flavors were much more mild than I expected, especially from the Ecuadorian Habano wrapper leaf.
Other than the burn issues, which might’ve been somewhat impacted by the ridiculous wind, the construction of the cigar was pretty good.
While I think this cigar could’ve benefited from a little more time aging, the Montecristo Monte by Montecristo earns a CigarScore 4.
