Initial Thoughts: According to legend, ie the Oliva Cigars website, the Oliva Master Blend 3 is the third iteration of a blend of tobaccos previously reserved for members of the Oliva family.
However, due to their generosity and penchant for profit, they decided to release these cigars to us, the cigar-smoking public. The Oliva Master Blend 3 is a great-looking cigar if a rustic one. The marbled and toothy wrapper comes from the United States and is a Connecticut Broadleaf. The torpedo end comes to a sharp point and this looks like a very well-made cigar.
After snipping the end, the draw was perfect and the flavors on the cold draw were of cedar and wood. Once the Master Blend 3 was lit, I tasted lots of cedar and spice, and the flavors were rich and delicious.

Final Thoughts:
The Oliva Master Blend 3 has become one of my favorite cigars even though I didn’t know it when I went into this cigar review.
The flavors are rich and complex, the construction is almost always perfect, and the smoking experience is an enjoyable one. However, the MB3s have one drawback, the price. At $15, the MB3 Torpedo is fairly expensive.
If you can get the Master Blend 3 at a price point (and size) you love, let’s both grab a handful and enjoy them together. I (now) love this cigar and would recommend it to you, so the Oliva Master Blend 3 earns a CigarScore 5.
