Initial Thoughts: I first heard about the Perdomo Champagne when we were in Rockford, Illinois. Mike, the owner of Rudy’s Cigars, told me about this cigar, but I was hesitant to try it because of the cigar’s light color.
The Perdomo Champagne, a.k.a. Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Cabinet Series Champagne is an interesting cigar. Nick Perdomo, the founder of Perdomo Cigars, said the Champagne was one of the five cigars that made his career and which put his company on the map.
After smoking just the first inch, I can already see why. The flavors are fantastic, the wrapper is just about perfect, and the Nicaraguan filler tobacco provides a punch of flavor underneath the Connecticut shade wrapper.

Final Thoughts:
Wow, what a surprise. I never expected the Perdomo Champagne to have as much flavor as it did. Nick Perdomo has managed to pack full flavors into a cigar with a Connecticut Shade wrapper that deceives the eyes.
Aside from a minor issue in the middle, this cigar had an even burn. The punch provided a slightly tight but consistent draw that allowed me to get plenty of smoke in each puff.
However, toward the end of the middle third of the cigar, I started noticing some harshness to the smoke. It wasn’t bad, but it was noticeable, and it might be a reason fans of lighter cigars would want to approach the Champagne caution. Because of this harshness and the slight burn issues, I give the Perdomo Champagne Robusto a CigarScore of 4, and I would happily smoke it again.
