Initial Thoughts: One thing I love about the CigarScore Cigar Date Labels is that they allow me to track when I got my cigars. So, as I did today, when I pull out a stick for review, I know I got this Perdomo Habano Sun Grown Robusto way back in 2020.

The first thing I noticed about the Perdomo Habano Bourbon Barrel-Aged Sun Grown Robusto is that it looks great. The Nicaraguan Sun Grown wrapper is medium brown and looks fantastic.

After cutting the end, the cold draw had flavors of white wood. Once lit, the Perdomo Habano Sun Grown had a fantastic aroma that made me eager to start smoking. On the first few puffs, the flavors delivered spice, something creamy, and a little bit of leather.

    CigarScore: 5
    Brand: Perdomo
    Line: Habano Sun Grown
    Size: 5 x 54
    Cut: V-Cut
    Light: Torch

    Wrapper: Nicaraguan Sun Grown
    Binder: Nicaraguan Cuban-seed
    Filler: Nicaraguan Cuban-seed
    Smoke Time: 72 minutes

Through the middle of the Perdomo Habano Sun Grown Robusto, the flavors were quite spicy. While I was able to get notes of cedar and the cigar had a good draw, the predominant characteristic of this cigar was spice.

At about the 30-minute mark, the flavors were both mild and spicy at the same time, which caused a little palate confusion. The Perdomo Habano Sun Grown was also not particularly sweet, but it was complex and interesting.

    Final Thoughts
For a robusto, the Perdomo Habano Sun Grown smoked for an admirable 72 minutes. Overall, this cigar had a good draw and the flavors were good. However, the burn wasn’t razor-sharp, but I still really enjoyed it.

I enjoyed this cigar and it came in at a lower price than I’d have guessed. In my opinion, this cigar is a great value for the money, plus it tasted good. So, the Perdomo Habano Sun Grown Robusto earns a CigarScore 5.
