The Rocky Patel Sun Grown Maduro is a rich and luxurious cigar made in Rocky’s famous TAVICUSA factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. A sun-ripened USA Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper and an aged all Nicaraguan blend of binder and filler tobaccos were carefully chosen to create this masterpiece. Slow burning, delightfully aromatic, and flawlessly constructed, the cigar enthusiast can expect complex and well-balanced notes of coffee, dark chocolate, sweet spice, and caramel.

Initial Thoughts
Today’s cigar review is one that I got in one of the first-ever boxes of the Adventure Club at CigarScore Lounge, and that’s the Rocky Patel Sun Grown Maduro Toro.
The Rocky Patel Sun Grown Maduro Toro is a good-looking cigar with a dark brown wrapper and a slight box press to it. The label is one of Rocky’s newer ones and looks super fancy, similar to the label of the Rocky Patel Special Edition.
After a quick guillotine cut, the cold draw flavors were doughy and saw-dusty. Once lit, however, the spiciness from the Sun Grown wrapper came through. I also tasted hints of something woody.
Is the full-bodied Rocky Patel Sun Grown Maduro Toro worth your $11? Let’s keep smoking!
