Initial Thoughts: The first time I had a Rocky Patel San Andreas, I had the robusto, and I gave it a CigarScore 4. Today, I’m smoking the Rocky Patel Vintage 2006 San Andreas Sixty, a 6 x 60 double toro.
The Mexican San Andres wrapper is dark and beautiful with no visual flaws whatsoever. A quick cut with my guillotine cutter and the draw is perfect. The flavors are rich and creamy; I can taste the Nicaraguan tobacco with hints of chocolate and pepper.

Final Thoughts:
The Rocky Patel Vintage 2006 San Andreas Sixty is very much like the previous one I smoked – a great cigar that gets weaker in the final third.
I liked the Sixty, but there was a flavor drop off in the final third. The draw was perfect, but there were a couple of burn issues, specifically a slight bit of canoeing that was remedied with a quick blast from my torch.
If the burn hadn’t had an issue, and if the flavors hadn’t tapered off in the final third, this cigar would’ve ranked higher. But, I’d smoke this cigar again and I’d recommend it to you. Therefore, the Rocky Patel Vintage 2006 San Andreas Sixty earns a CigarScore 4.
