Initial Thoughts
Matt Booth, the founder of Room 101 and its creative quirkiness, is… interesting. And today we’re going to take a look at his latest creation, the Room 101 Daruma – a cigar I know next to nothing about and a cigar I haven’t even seen yet.
The Room 101 Daruma Toro is a mystery. Not only is it wrapped in white paper, but that paper is wrapped in black and gold packaging which further adds to the mystery behind this cigar.
Once the Daruma was liberated from its paper prison, the cigar itself was visually impressive. Once lit, the Nicaraguan puro was neither impressive nor unimpressive in the flavor department.
Made by the Oliva Cigar Company, the 2023 version of the Room 101 definitely reminds me of the Oliva Serie V. But is it any good? Does the Room 101 Daruma merit the higher price point?

Final Thoughts
The Room 101 Daruma is an interesting cigar. It was a cigar made by Oliva, but blended by Matt Booth. The flavors were similar to those of a Serie V, but the tobaccos were quite different.
I was able to smoke this 6 x 50 toro for about 67 minutes. My cigar had a slightly uneven burn, but it was a small flaw.
I enjoyed this cigar and I think you will too. The construction was quite good and the flavors were very enjoyable. The Room 101 Daruma Toro earns a CigarScore 4.
