Description
The Zino Platinum Crown Series cigars have unique shapes, tastes, blends, and aromas that are respectfully drawn from the best of classic cigar making. The Crown Series uses four different countries to create a beautifully complex cigar. The fillers from the Dominican Republic and Peru, a Connecticut binder, and Connecticut seed grown in Ecuador are the components to this smooth medium-bodied smoke.

Initial Thoughts: Zino Davidoff is one of the most famous cigar makers in the world, and the Zino Platinum brand is synonymous with luxury cigars.
So, when Luxury Cigar Club sent me a Zino Platinum Crown Series Barrel to smoke, I kept it in my humidor and waited. A perfect (I hope) cigar begs for perfect weather, so, today, when it’s a beautiful 70 degrees outside, I’m going to light this bad boy up.
The build quality of this cigar is perfect, although the wrapper has noticeable veins. The color consistency on the filler tobacco is spot on. After cutting the cigar, the draw was perfect (as it should be on a $33+ cigar).

Final Thoughts:
Being my first cigar over $30, the Zino Platinum Crown Series Barrel Tubo certainly set the bar high. The burn, despite my botched attempts to light the cigar with the cedar included in the tube, was perfect. I never had to relight it and the cigar actually evened out after the first quarter of an inch. The flavors of hay or wheat grass were smooth and no bitterness showed up.
Because of the impeccable build quality, and because there is almost nothing to complain about with this cigar, I give the Zino Platinum Crown Series Barrel a well-deserved CigarScore of 5.
