    Initial Thoughts:
Few cigars get hyped as much as the Unico Series from Drew Estate. And today, we’re smoking one such cigar, the Drew Estate Liga Privada Unico Serie Ratzilla.

Once removed from the cellophane, the Ratzilla looks very much like most Liga Privada Unico Serie cigars. The United States Connecticut River Valley Stalk Cut & Cured Sun Grown Habano Wrapper (Connecticut Habano for short) that Drew Estate uses has a distinctive look that gives the cigars’ origins away.

With a guillotine cut, the Ratzilla had a draw that was almost perfect. Once the cigar was lit, the Ratzilla, despite its smaller vitola, had the typical Liga Privada kick to it with hints of graham cracker-y sweetness.

While the flavors in the first third were good, and the draw was decent, I couldn’t get quite enough smoke on each puff. However, with what I could taste, I think the flavors were good, but could have / should have been better. That said, the flavors were bold and spicy with floral notes.

    Final Thoughts
After enjoying the Drew Estate Liga Privada Unico Serie Ratzilla for almost 75 minutes, and even after re-torching it once, I enjoyed the smoking experience.

For the most part, the complex flavors and the quality construction make the Ratzilla feel like a premium cigar. However, for the money, I might prefer a Liga Privada T52.

Despite having a minor burn issue, I enjoyed my afternoon with this cigar. The flavors were good, there was nice complexity with fluctuations between spicy and creamy, and the smoke was, well, luxurious. Because I’d smoke this cigar again, the Drew Estate Liga Privada Unico Serie Ratzilla earns a CigarScore 5.
